Strawberry Valley Golf Committee 2004 Annual Report

REPORT OF THE STRAWBERRY VALLEY GOLF COMMITTEE

January of 2004 began the first full month of operation of the five-year
renewable lease with Johnson Golf Management of Weston.

After the five-year lease, the Strawberry Valley Golf Course Committee
will review Johnson Golf Management's performance. At that time, the
lease will be reviewed and if acceptable to both parties, may be
renewed.

As a result of a statutory revision of the improvement bidding process
in July of 2004, a number of planned improvements will be rescheduled
for the spring of 2005. It is anticipated that major renovations to the
barn will take place.

The Town Golf Course Appreciation Day was held on September 12,
2004. Over 200 residents were able to take advantage of this
opportunity for a free golf day. Johnson Golf Management provided
free refreshments and support personnel.

Brian Bezanson was elected to a three-year term and the Board of
Selectmen appointed Mark Chirokas a member of the golf committee in
July.

At the recommendation of the Charter Review Committee, members of
the Strawberry Valley Golf Course Committee will no longer be elected.
Future members will be appointed by the Town Manager.
