| REPORT OF THE STRAWBERRY VALLEY GOLF COURSE COMMITTEE Strawberry Valley Golf Course is currently leased and operated by Johnson's Golf Management, Inc. of Westort, Massachusetts. January 2006 (is) the beginning of the third year of a five year lease. The lease has a renewal clause after five years, if acceptable to both landlord and tenant, the landlord being the Strawberry Valley Golf Committee. The Strawberry Valley Golf Committee has revised its operational procedures due to a a change in the town of Abington Charter. The committee has prioritized needed capital improvements and is in the process of implementing these improvements. The leading items on this list include electrical updating of the pump house, major renovations to the storage barn as well as items such as portable rest rooms, cart path paving and irrigating the fairways. The committee and Johnson's Golf Management hosted a Town Appreciation Day, Sunday, September 25. The weather cooperated for the plus 200 players. All players received shirts commemorating the day. The committee and Johnson's Golf Management agreed to support the Abington High School Golf Team with free tee times. The committee wishes to thank the people of Abington and the golfers who contributed to the success of the course.
